Dirty pour on large canvas manipulated to create steps (left hand corner).   Experimenting with making cells, the little white spots in the artwork.  This is an example of art as therapy for myself as a way to relax and just have fun with creating something that energises and surprises me in the process.   Sometimes the end result is great but most times it's not and then I just recycle the canvas and do another pour overtop, which adds more texture second time around.   This and other artworks are hanging in my son's house at Alkimos Beach, Perth, Western Australia.   He has a two storey house with lots of white wall space that lends itself well to hanging big colorful canvas paintings, which he appreciates and I'm happy to oblige!   I have the whole house to myself while I am here and the use of one of the downstairs room for my "studio", to do some creative self care away from the distractions back home in Taupo, bliss!.   A nod to Aotearoa (New Zealand) - cool green comes through strongly which was intentional for my psyche to counterbalance the Western Australian 40 degree heat outside...feeling it!
