There are many layers in this piece which evolved over a few pours and experimenting with creating the feature flowers symbolising my eight grandchildren, 5 girls and 3 boys. My intention was to represent each moko (grandchild) individually using colour relative to their personality, gender, andsize in relation to their ages and placement in order of family grouping. However, the end result is abit of a mismatch as I was using up leftover paints which is reflected in the overuse of orange but I had fun doing it and can always do another pourover at a later stage... It's all about the process...
