Experimenting using only a few color's at an attempt to create a negative space in the centre (dark blue). It didn't quite work but I'm happy that the blue stayed true and didn't get muddy which can easily happen. I am either consciously influenced by western Australian landscape and heat in some pieces I've created using lots of reds, oranges, yellows etc. or unconsciously drawn to using cooler color's like blues and greens that remind me of New Zealand...or the deep blue coastline of the Indian ocean at Alkimos beach...lovely to look at but I would have to be on fire before I swim in it unless a safety net area was built to keep sharks out!
