My artwork process below created during the COVID19 pandemic, beginning in March 2020 and still in progress 7 months later. Learnt some great texture skills at talented local artists Malini Parkers 2 day workshop in the Perth hills. Large picture below is the cover of a journal created using the techniques learnt, really enjoy journaling the months events in this creative way.

First time using board instead of canvas and leaves as stencils! Finally learnt to prep my artwork properly after all these years so feel like my art skills have taken a leap as an Art Therapist yah!

At Malini Parkers 2 day workshop in Perth hills. She has a really lovely art studio overlooking the bush, very tranquil and serene. Malini has a great story to tell about her life's journey so far and her own artwork, very relevant to the process of art therapy.

An art piece I created at the start of COVID19 as we realized the pandemic was going to have a devastating effect on the world as we know it. The most important thing was hoping my family in NZ would be safe, especially the grandchildren since I wouldn't see them for awhile. In March 2020, NZ went into lock down and being in the "at risk" category I was quarantined in Perth and will be until April 2021. For many reasons, having strong faith is important throughout this period and my artwork reflects this.
