Below are two fluid pours created in Alkimos 2019. (L) I gave this piece the title "Cultural Invasion" representing the vast numbers of multicultural people coming into Australia from all corners of the world (myself included), totally unaware that COVID19 was just around the corner. On hindsight it was an observation I'd seen happening in New Zealand through a cultural lens, impacting on tangata whenua (people of the land) being relegated to second-class status through homelessness, unemployment and putting money before the health and wellbeing of its own people because of weak immigration rules fast tracking residence visas for high earners - greed over caution. On a lighter note, the art piece (R) does not have a title but has prominent cells which I like and the illusion of water movement...
